Our Story

Founded in 2016 by Joe and Susan Trotter, our family-run nonprofit grew from a decades-long love of nurturing plants and sharing the beauty they bring into everyday life. Guided by the belief that plants can meaningfully improve health, mental well-being, and overall quality of life, we donate plants to seniors, caregivers, and adult-care facilities throughout our community.
What began as a simple family passion has blossomed into a mission of connection and care and since our founding, we’ve been grateful to donate more than $250,000 worth of plants to those who need a little extra brightness in their day.
This year we celebrate ten years of bringing plants and the love they carry into the live of seniors and caregivers across our community.

The Power
of Plants

Research supports what many of us instinctively feel - having plants around can significantly boost mental health, mood, and overall wellbeing. A systematic review of over 50 studies found that people consistently report more positive emotions (calmness, cheerfulness, relaxation) and fewer negative emotions (stress, anxiety, fatigue) in plant-filled environments compared with plant-free ones - along with improved concentration and perceived quality of life.

Community
Impact

Since our founding in 2016, we have made a meaningful impact throughout the community by donating more than $250,000 worth of plants to seniors, caregivers, and adult care communities such as Senior Services, Brighton Gardens, Walnut Cove Center for Rehabilitation and more.
These living gifts have supported emotional well-being, improved daily environments, and offered a renewed sense of purpose to those who need it most. Through every delivery, we’ve brought comfort, connection, and the healing presence of nature into places where it truly makes a difference.
